Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out about the Implementation of the Pekanbaru City Government regarding Waste Management Specifically in the School Waste Bank by the Pekanbaru City Environment and Cleanliness Agency and obstacles to the management of school garbage banks. The usefulness of this research is expected to be able to help provide understanding and knowledge to the author about Government Policy on Management of Waste Banks and be able to provide an overview of the Department of Environment and Cleanliness of the City of Pekanbaru, Especially About Waste Management Specifically School Waste Banks, As well as the Results of this Research can be input for the Department of Environment and and Cleanliness of the City of Pekanbaru to the School Waste Bank. The motif used in this study uses a Qualitative Descriptive Method that is obtained by means of Observation, Interview, and Documentation of the phenomena regarding Management of School Waste Banks. The interview process in this study was conducted by asking the Head of Waste Management, 'a aste Reduction and Utilization Section, the Chairperson of the Dalang Main A aste Collection Bank, the Teacher in charge of the Waste Bank in Schools. The results of this study can be concluded that the Office of Environment has not fully provided a policy on school v/aste banks so that the objectives of the Regional Regulation on Waste Management to Achieve a Healthy and Clean City of Pekanbaru, from the existence of a Waste Management Program specifically the School Waste Bank.
