Abstract
Researchers aimed to find out the results of study biology students of SMA class XI2 IPA YLPI Pekanbaru District Academic Year 2016/2017 through the implementation of cooperative learning Picture and Picture. This research is a classroom action research (PTK), was implemented in January 2017, the subject of this study is a class XI2 student of SMA YLPI Pekanbaru IPA totaling 36 students Collecting data in this study with descriptive analysis. Descriptive analysis of the results of student learning is done in 2 cycles consisting of 12 meetings.The first cycle of absorption PTK students increased from 73.92% to 75.88%. In the second cycle the CO absorption of students has increased from 75.88% to 80.22%. KI learning outcomes cycle there was an increase from 67% to 81%. In the second cycle absorption KI an increase from 81% into 99%. Based on the research we concluded that the teaching and learning activities with the implementation of cooperative learning model Picture and Picture can improve learning outcomes IPA biology class XI2 SMA YLPI Pekanbaru District Academic Year 2016/2017.
