Abstract

The purpose of this reseach is to describe on how the manangement of zakat in Baznas Kepulauan Meranti Regency Tebing Tinggi Sub district that consist of the collecting, distributing and utilizating. The formulation of problem in this reseach is how the role of Baznas in managing zakat at Kepulauan Meranti Regency (Case study of National Zakat Agency Tebing Tinggi Sub District). The purpose of this reseach is to know on how the role of Baznas in managing zakat at Kepulauan Meranti Regency (Case study of National Zakat Agency Tebing Tinggi Sub District).Subject in this reseach is National Zakat Agency (Baznas) at Kepulauan Meranti Regency especially at Tebing Tinggi Sub district. Object in this reseach is the role of Baznas in managing zakat. Population in this reseach are The chairman and staff of Baznas Kepulauan Meranti Regency Tebing Tinggi Sub district. Sample in this reseach are keynote speakers at Baznas office of Kepulauan Meranti Regency Tebing Tinggi Sub district. The source of data in this reseach are primary and secondary data. Data collecting include interview and documentation. In analyzing the data include reduction, data presentation, take the conclusion and triangulation. The result of this reseach in devision include that Baznas did the socialization and cooperation with each UPD in all regency until the level of village , and the total number of muzakki get the increasing from year to year. In 2016, the total number of muzakki were 2.115 and in 2018 increased to 2.750. In distributing devision Baznas determine the mustahiq carefully in order to get true target both data in the office and in the field. The fund that collected in Baznas increase every year where in 2016 the total fund were Rp. 614.004.000 and get the increased in 2018 with the total fund were Rp. 1.366.364.000. In utilizing devison of Baznas focuses on the fund of zakat for productive business, and when the Baznas officer gives the help to mustahiq, they have to save and run a business, utilizing fund of zakat in Baznas increase every year when in 2016 was Rp.1.017.524.000 then increased in 2018 become Rp. 1.570.168.000.
