Abstract

The background of this research is the phenomenon that in the current global economic development, there are seven sharia economic sectors that have increased significantly. One of them is sharia tourism, where the sector carries the concept of halal in each of its products, in the city of Pekanbaru sharia tourism have a significant development with the vision of Pekanbaru as a city of Madani. One tour that is currently developing is Okura Da'wah Tourism. For this reason, researcher want to examine how the development of Islamic tourism objects in Rumbai district Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this research is to find out how the potential of Okura Da'wah Tourism in developing tourism. The theoretical framework in this study is the potential for the development of sharia tourism objects that can be assessed with objects, goals, targets, guides, facilities, culinary, relations, agendas that applied in sharia tourism. The methodology used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with the type of qualitative research. The population in this study is the Okura Tourism Operations Manager. The samples is taken from the entire population, the Okura Tourism Operational Manager, with the sampling technique using saturated sampling. The data analysis conducted is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the study it shows that the management of Okura Da'wah Tourism has considerable potential, but the availability of facilities is still lacking.
