Abstract

This study aims to determine the students' perceptions of Uin Suska Riau's da'wah and communication on Cyberbullying on YouTube social media. Rakhmat stated that perception is also determined by functional and structural factors. Several functional or personal factors include individual needs, experience, age, past, personality, gender, and others that are subjective. Structural factors or factors from outside the individual include: family environment, applicable laws, and values in society. Data analysis in this study used a qualitative descriptive method with data sources from interviews and documentation. The results of data analysis can be concluded that the research concludes that students' perceptions of cyberbullying on YouTube social media in Sukmawati's speech on the Detikcom channel are based on several categories, specifically from an Islamic point of view and generally categorized as perceptions from a legal, cultural and political point of view. The results of the interview state that their perceptions occur based on what is in them thinking and when exposed to their perceptions and the results contain advice and become motivation for others when reading these perceptions, what is clearer is that perceptions have a role on others, both bad and good the impact.
