Abstract
This study aims to investigate the influence of independent variables (halal label awareness and social factors) on a dependent variable (purchase decisions of halal labeled food products). The subject of this study is the people of Pekanbaru city, while the object of this study is the halal label awareness and social factors on purchase decisions of halal labeled food products for Muslim society in Pekanbaru city. The type of this study is causality research (cause-effect) with a quantitative approach. The total sample of this study is 100 respondents with the sampling technique used is the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. The data sources of this study consist of primary data and secondary data. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The data are analyzed quantitatively by using the analysis of validity test, reliability test, descriptive analysis, classic assumption test, normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression, hypothesis test with t-test, F-test of correlation coefficient and coefficient of determination performed by SPSS program version 22.0. The results of this study show that the variable of halal label awareness has a greater influence on the purchase decisions of halal labeled food products compared to the variable of social factors.
