Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine how the influence of claims, reinsurance and operating expenses on the proportion of tabarru' funds in Islamic life insurance companies in Indonesia. Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique, with a final sample of 19 sharia life insurance companies during 2017-2019. The analytical method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that the claim expense variable has a significant positive effect on the proportion of tabarru funds in Islamic life insurance in Indonesia. Reinsurance has a significant negative effect on the proportion of tabarru' funds in Islamic life insurance companies in Indonesia. Also, operating expenses do not have a significant effect on the proportion of tabarru' funds in Islamic life insurance companies in Indonesia.
