Abstract

This research was conducted in Siak Regency, Riau Province. The purpose of this study was to find out how big the target and realization as well as the role of local taxed on the development of local revenue in Siak district in 2005-2016. The data used in this study are secondary data while the data collection technique used are using the technique/method of documentation. Data analisys used is descriptive analisys method. Based on the result of the research that has been done, it is known that the realization of the local tax in Siak Regency from 2005 to 2016 has met the targets set by the Siak district government. The average realization of the Siak Regency regional tax in 2005-2016 was 157,44%. While the Regional tax Contribution to Local Original Income in Siak Regency tends to experience fluctuations and when views from the average figure the contribution is less than 20%. Where the contribution of regional taxes to the ROI of Siak district is quite small or very poor when viewed from 2005-2016, this is due to the lack of optimization of the government is absorbing local tax sources in Siak district and lack of awareness of the community itself in terms of pay taxed
