Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the application of accounting in a motorcycle wash business in the Cerenti sub-district of Kuantan Sing district using basic accounting concepts. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative and with a qualitative approach, namely survey methods, questionnaires and interviews conducted on 22 motorcycle washing businesses in Cerenti District. The results of the research show that in general, motorcycle washing business actors in Cerenti District in running their business apply recording with the basic concept of cash and only some apply accrual basis accounting. In the application of the concept of business unit, the concept of business continuity, the concept of matching, the concept of time period and the basic concept of recording, there are still motorcycle washing business actors in Cerenti District who have not applied these concepts in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting.
