Abstract

This research was conducted in Tekulai Bugis Village, Tanah Merah District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The ppurpose of this study was to determine whether the application of accounting in Tekulai Bugis village, Tanah Merah Subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir district is in accoudance with generally accepted accounting principles. The data used are primary and secondary data, while the data collection techniques used in this paper are direct interviews and documentation. In the preparation of this study, the authors used a qualitative descriptive method. There are problems found, namely first Tekulai Bugis village did not make adjusments to equipment supplies, Tekulai Bugis Village did not calculate the value of the remaining inventory at the end of the period. Second, it does not calculate the depreciation amount on any fixed assets. Third, does not present the value of fixed assets. After conducting the research it can be concluded that the application of accounting in Tekulai Bugis Village, Tanah Merah District, Indragiri Hilir Regency is not in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
