Abstract
The aim of this research was to improve the lower passing ability in volleyball games in class VIII10 MTsN 3 kota pekanbaru through the method of playing. This type of research is PTK (classroom action research). The population in this study were 25th grade VIIII0 MTsN 3 students in Pekanbaru city. The sample technique in this study was total sampling so the number of samples was 25 students. In the first cycle with the results of the percentage of 76.68 in the good category. This shows that students can capture learning well using the play method. In the second cycle the average ability of students has increased with the percentage of 80.76℅ with an increase in cycles I and II 5℅. From the results of the percentages obtained in cycle I and cycle II, it can be concluded that volleyball playing using the playing method is very precise and successfully used to improve the passing ability under class VIII10 MTsN 3 Pekanbaru City.
