Abstract
This study aims to determine the pedagogic competence based on the regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 16 of 2007 which is owned by science teachers in SMPN 1 XIII Koto Kampar. This study uses this using the Qualitative Descriptive method where researchers attempt to peel the research data through primary data sources in form of transcrips of observations. Also equipped with secondary data sources in the form of documentation data and the results of structured interviews with science teachers in SMPN 1 XIII Koto Kampar. The sample used was 2 science teachers. Next is descriptive analysis data. The results showed that the level of pedagogical competence of science teachers in SMPN 1 XIII Koto Kampar was competent. It can be councluded that the pedagogical competencies possessed by science teachers in SMPN 1 XIII Koto Kampar are in line with the Minister of National Education Number 16 of 2007, but there needs ti be some improvements or improvements such as indicator untilizing information and communication technology for the benefit of learning (0%), facilitate the development of potential the students to actualize the various potentials that they have (50%), and carry out assessment evaluation of processes and learning outcomes included (41,5%) in the incompetent category.
