Abstract

This research was conducted based on the observation of the students of the 3rd semester of the class Of 2016/2017 Penjaskesrek FKIP UIR consisting of local A to H, but only a few are skilled in playing sepaktakraw, student skills in doing smash sepaktakraw still less than the maximum, the ball dismash often concerned on the net, the ball in the smash does not exactly lead to the opponent's field. Then, the smash is done easily in the block by the opponent, due to lack of maximum explosive muscle limb power when doing smash sepaktakraw. Flexibility of students is also less than the maximum so difficult to direct or place the ball on the target who want to smash. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of explosive muscle limb power to smash skills sepak takraw student of the 3rd semester of the class Of 2016/2017 Penjaskesrek FKIP UIR. As for this type of research is correlation. Population and sample in this research is student of the 3rd semester of the class Of 2016/2017 Penjaskesrek FKIP UIR skillful in playing sepaktakraw which amounts to 15 people. Data analysis technique used is test of correlation value with r value test. Based on the calculation results obtained correlation value or the relationship value of explosive muscle power of the leg to smash sepak takraw student's skill of the 3rd semester of the class Of 2016/2017 Penjaskesrek FKIP UIR rhitung = 0,646 then compared with rtabel At significant level 5% = 0,514 thus rhitung (0,646) > rtabel (0,514) so it is known the value of its contribution is by way of KD = r2 x 100 or (0.6462 x 100%) = 41.73%.
