Abstract

This research intend to find out the Analysis Of Interest In Being A Teacher 5th Semester Student Of Biological Education Riau Islamic University, Academic Year 2017/2018. This research was carried out in the even semester of academic year 2017/2018. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The informants of this study were the five semester students of Biology Education, Riau Islamic University with 63 informants, this sample was taken using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques in this study are non-test techniques in the form of interviews and documentation. In this study there are five indicators that influence the interest in being a teacher, namely emotional, perception, motivation, talent, and mastery of science. Obtained on emotional factors as big as 64,55%, perception factors as big as 57,66%, motivation factors as big as 37,30%, talent factors as big as 59,78%, and mastery of science as big as 100%. Of the five indicators, the most influential interest in being a teacher is the mastery of natural science by 100% of the interest in becoming a student teacher of Biology Education, Riau Islamic University.
