Abstract
This research was carried out to find out the cause of student’s learning difficulties in biology learning of The First Grade Students of Nursing class of SMK Hasanah in the Academic Year 2016/2017. This research was a qualitative and quantitative approach. The method used in this research was survey and the data were collected through questionnaires, observations and interviews. The sample of this research is 40 peoples. The questionnaire consists of 34 questions. So, the result achieved is based on the opinion of each respondent about student’s learning difficulties in biology lerning. The result achieved are: In the internal indicators, sub of students’ health indicators in following biology lessons can be categorized high, with the percentage obtained 79,06%. Sub-indicator of talent that students have in biology subject can be categorized high, with 62,49% percentage. Furthermore, sub-indicator of student interest in following biology lessons can be categorized high, with 70,15% percentage. Sub-indicator of students' motivation in doing biology practicing can be categorized high, with 73,90% percentage. While for external indicators, sub indicators parents attention can be categorized high with percentage 63,95%. Sub-indicator of the family economic condition can be categorized high with percentage of 73,74%. Sub-indicator of how teachers taught can be categorized very high with 81,37% percentage. Sub-indicator of media used by teachers while teaching can be categorized high with percentage of 73,75%. Sub-indicator of teacher's assessment policy was also very high with percentage of 84,06%. Sub mass media presence indicators can be categorized high with a percentage of 61,66%. Sub-indicator of friends who hanging out with at home can be categorized high by 69,58% percentage. The highest percentage was in the internal indicators with the sub-indicator of student’s health indicator in following biology lesson can be categorized high by 79,06%, and the indicators percentage is very high in the indicators external that is in the sub-indicator of teacher assessment policy percentage 84,06%.
