Abstract

This research aims to determine the laboratory profile and management of IPA/Biology laboratory SMAS Datuk Batu Hampar in Pekanbaru city academic year 2017/2018. The research was conducted from february to march 2018. This research with quantitative descriptive analysis. Data collection in this study uisng observation sheets, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The subject of this research is biology laboratory and manager of biology laboratory at SMAS Datuk Batu Hampar in Pekanbaru city which amounted to 1 person. Data analysis techniques use percentage. Form the research result obtained percentage of laboratory profiles. for each type of laboratory facilities obtained the highest percentage of eductional media 100% very complete category and the lowest percentage of consumables by 3,84% incomplete categories. And the percentage of teachers competence of IPA/Biology laboratory for every aspect of laboratory competency competencies obtained the highest percentage on the personality aspect of 85,43% with highly competent category and the lowest percentage on the aspect of menejerial by 43,28% with enough competent category. The results showed that for the laboratory profile SMAS Datuk Batu Hampar in Pekanbaru academic year 2017/2018 obtained percentage 42,39% with incomplete categories and has not fulfilled Permendiknas standard No. 24 of 2007 and for the competence of laboratory managers obtainde percentage 60,19% is quite competent.
