Abstract
This study aims to determine teachers understanding of application and implementation of the 2013 curriculum in science study in junior high school at district lima puluh pekanbaru academic year 2017/2018. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The method that used in this research is survey method. Data collectied with using questionaire, observation and interview. The sample in this research is 19 teacher, that is teacher applying Curriculum 2013 in their learning process. Questionnaire that distributed consists of 43 items of questions. The results from this research that’s: effective learning design and meaningful indicators can be categorized good with percentage 78.77%, the organizing learning indicator can be categorized quite well with percentage 69.90%, the choosing and determining the learning approach indicator can be categorized good with percentage 75, 53%, the learning, the formation of competence, and the character indicators can be categorized good with a percentage of 73.18%, socialization Curriculum 2013 indicators can be categorized quite well with a percentage of 64.48%. The conclusion from this research about teacher’s understanding in applying and implementing Curriculum 2013 is equal to 72,37% with good category.
