Abstract
This study aims to determine the laboratory profile and teacher competency of laboratory science / biology to SMPN KecamatanLima PuluhPekanbaruacademic year 2017/2018 based on permendiknas No 24 of 2007 and Permendiknas No. 26 of 2008. The sample in this research is the science teacher who manages the laboratory at 4 State Junior High School Lima Puluh District Pekanbaru. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive analysis. The results of this descriptive study indicate that the laboratory profile and the competence of teachers of IPA / Biology laboratory managers inJunior High School Lima Puluh District Pekanbaru. Pekanbaru shows that the conditions have met the minimum standards that have been set that is, 1) completeness of facility and infrastructure of science / junior science laboratory of SMP NegeriLima PuluhPekanbaru sub district in completewith obtained percentage 87% it is in accordance with permendiknas No 24 year 2007. 2) the competence of laboratory management teachers in junior high schools Lima PuluhPekanbaru district declaredcompetentin carrying out its duties as head of the laboratory with obtained for 71%it is in accordance with Permendiknas No. 26 of 2008.
