Abstract
This study was conducted with the aim to see the difference of biology learning outcomes between classes that apply learning model of Think Pair Share type (TPS) with the class that apply Think Talk Write (TTW) type learning model by using Handout on Grade VIII SMPN 35 Pekanbaru 2017/2018 on the motion system material in humans. This study compared the results of two classes of learning, namely the experimental class X1 (TPS) and the experimental class X2 (TTW). This population is a student of class VIII SMPN 35 Pekanbaru. The sample was chosen based on homogeneity test of the pre-test value in the form of previous daily test score. Two homogeneous classes are then selected based on the average value of absorptive power to determine the experimental class X1 and the experimental class X2, then the class VIII2 as the experimental class X1 (TPS) and class VIII3 as the experimental class X2 (TTW) test. Based on the descriptive data analysis, the average learning result of PPK of experiment class X1 (TPS) = 89,75 and X2experimental class (TTW) = 87,19 and average of KI score of experiment class X1 (TPS) = 87, 58 and X2 experimental class students (TTW) = 84.70. It can be concluded that the application of Think Pair Share learning model on the material of the motion system in humans has differences with the application of Think Talk Write learning model. Hypothesis test data obtained after the treatment, where the experimental class X1 by applying the model of learning Think Pair Share while experimental class X2 by applying the model of learning Think Talk Write. From the analysis of data ttest known tcount = 1.88<ttabel = 2,00. Then H0 rejected H1 received so that the recipient of the hypothesis, that is there are differences in biology learning outcomes between classes that apply Think Pair Share learning model with a class that implements the learning model Think Talk Write by using handouts on students of class VIII SMPN 35 Pekanbaru academic year 2017/2018.
