Abstract

The objective of the research is to find out whether there is or not significant effect of realia media toward students' writing ability on recount text of the Second Grade at SMALB Kasih lbu Kartama Pekanbaru. The design of this research is an experimental research. The type of research design of this research is single subject design The researcher was used students at SMALB Kasih Ibu Kartama of Pekanbaru 2017/2018 academic year in Pekanbaru. this research was conducted in the form of quantitative data. Quantitative data obtained by observing teaching and the learning process of writing deaf students, quantitative data obtained by pre-test and post-test.The result of this research found the students writing ability on recount text by Realia Media in teaching writing at Second Grade of SMALB Kasih Ibu Kartama Pekanbaru made remarkable progress. This can be seen from the mean of score at pretest with mean score 4050 became 86.50 when posttest, with improvement 46.00. The use Realia Media in teaching writing make the shudents motivated, interested It can be created or waried by using kinds of media visual like pictures and video. It will show how the students can think critically about the topic. It indicated that they made a considerable improvement in some aspect of writing skills such as content, organization, grammar, vocabulary and mechanics
