Abstract

One of the potential tourist attractions to be developed into a leading tourist attraction and tourist attraction is Muara Takus Temple. Kampar regency government in this case the Department of Culture Tourism and Culture began to develop tourism object Muara Takus Temple, but in implementation, there are obstacles, among others: the lack of attention of the Department of Culture and Tourism Kampar regency of facilities or facilities that support the development of Muara Takus Temple object and the lack of promotion from the Department of Culture and Tourism of Kampar Regency towards the object of Muara Takus Temple. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of Tourism and Culture of Kampar Regency in the development of tourism object Muara Takus. Research is quantitative descriptive analysis in the form of survey research type. The research is located at Department of Tourism and Culture of Kampar Regency. In this study is set a sample of 28 people. The results showed that the role of Tourism and Culture Office of Kampar Regency in the development of Muara Takus Temple tourism object can be categorized enough to play a role. This means that the role of Tourism and Culture Office of Kampar Regency in the development of tourism object of Muara Takus has not been maximal, this is due to lack of attention from the Department of Culture and Tourism Kampar Regency against facilities or facilities that support the development of Muara Takus Temple object and the lack of promotion from the Department of Culture and Tourism of Kampar Regency towards the object of Muara Takus Temple .
