Abstract

The title of this research "Analysis of Socialization Form of Prohibition of Vehicle Two Wheel Crossing Fly Over by Function Implementation of Public Relations Task of Land Transportation Department of Riau Province". At the moment the Riau Provincial Transportation Department and its associated agencies plan a policy related to the ban of two-wheeled vehicles through Fly Over. This policy is due to the rampant occurrence of accidents in the bridge Fly Over Pekanbaru City that is on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, and Jalan Tuanku Tambusai. In order to maintain the safety of manajamen traffic engineering, this ban is in the form of socialization process in the form of electronic and print media. This certainly triggered various comments from the public starting from agreeing and disagreeing. In addition to the results of research efforts socialization activities are not running effectively, because the socialization is not intense on the run. As a result there are still many people who do not know this ban. These socialization efforts are only done within a period of approximately 1 months. Transportation Department of Riau Province itself is consistent with its policies, as the main conspetor of Riau Transportation Department is trying to increase the socialization activities of this policy in order to be accepted by the community. Conclusion Riau Transportation Department as the party making the policy should be able to deeper how the desire of the community by conducting regular socialization with teams incorporated in the team handling the flow of traffic. In order for the public to understand for what and the purpose of this policy is in place.
