Abstract

This research was based on the background of 45 Syariah Cooperative data in Pekanbaru. However, the understanding of the society of Pekanbaru city considers sharia cooperatives the same as conventional cooperatives. Because sharia cooperatives have not been thoroughly socialized. Therefore the authors are interested in examining the analysis of the society perception of Pekanbaru City towards Sharia Cooperatives. The formulation of the problem from this research is how the society perception of Pekanbaru City towards Sharia Cooperatives. The purpose of this study was to determine the society perceptions of Pekanbaru City towards Sharia Cooperatives. While the subjects of this study were people who lived in the city of Pekanbaru amounting to 1,064,566 people, while the object of this study is the public perception of the Sharia Cooperative. The data sources used in this study are primary and secondary data sources. The sampling technique is using Slovin formula, while the data collection techniques used are questionnaires. To analyze data, qualitative methods are used. In analyzing the data used descriptive analysis where the calculation process uses SPSS For Windows Version 23.0 The sample of this study was 100 people. Based on the results of research on the analysis of the society perception of Pekanbaru City on Sharia Cooperatives processed through respondents, it can be concluded that P = 74.8%, which means the society perception of Pekanbaru City towards Sharia Cooperatives is classified as "good / agreed" with 61% -80%.
