Abstract

In a company, both large and small, there needs to be a report on corporate finance. Company activities that affect finance in each month need to be known as material for decision making. With the application of an accounting system in a small clothing store, it will make it easier to know the company's profit or loss for a period of time. Regarding the conduct of this research, the object of this is a small clothing shop owner who lives in the sub-district of Tanah Putih, Rokan downstream district. The problem raised in this study is whether the application of accounting by small clothing shop businesses in the Tanah Putih sub-district of Rokan downstream district is in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting. The purpose of this research is to find out the suitability of the accounting application carried out by the clothing store entrepreneurs in the Tanah Putih subdistrict of Rokan downstream district with basic accounting concepts in order to produce financial information that is useful in running its business. The data collected is primary and secondary data. Data collection methods needed by the author for the material of this writing are structured interviews, observation, and documentation. After all data is collected, the data is grouped according to their respective types and then poured in table form and will be decomposed descriptively.The conclusion of this study is the application of accounting carried out by small businesses in clothing stores in the Tanah Putih sub-district of Rokan downstream district is not in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting.
