Abstract

The research was based on the characteristics of work in Army so as to potentially be stressful work stress for the armys. One of the factors that diasumikan can reduce work stress hardiness personality type. Purpose of this research was to prove the existence of a correlations between hardiness personality type with work stress on National Army Members Indonesia, Kodam I Bukit Barisan Kompi Kavileri 6 Rajawali Bhakti Tama Pekanbaru. This research was conducted with the quantitative approach, in which the measuring instrument data collection research is the scale likert scale – type of modified. The scale used is the scale of hardiness personality type and scale of work stress. The sample in this research is a member of the Indonesia National Army, Kodam I Bukit Barisan Kompi Kavileri 6 Rajawali Bhakti Tama Pekanbaru rank Prada as many as 50 people, which is determined by the technique of proportionate stratified random sampling. Based on the results of the analysis of the data by using the technique of correlation coefficients and moment found product correlation (r) of (-0,848) and significance (p) in the amount of 0.000 (p < 0.01). Thus the hypothesis in this study was accepted as the conclusion of the study, meaning that there is a significant correlations with a negative direction hardiness personality type with work stress on on National Army Members Indonesia, Kodam I Bukit Barisan Kompi Kavileri 6 Rajawali Bhakti Tama Pekanbaru. The higher the hardiness personality belonging to a member of the Indonesia National Army the lower work stress and otherwise getting members of the Indonesia National Army does not have the personality of the hardiness growing stress then it willwork. The value of determination coefficients showed 0.720 Rsquare personality type hardiness to stress the work of 72%.
