Abstract

Avocado (Persea americana) is very profitable because increases the economy. Avocade demand increases. Therefore, efforts to increase avocado production are using organic fertilizers. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of sugarcane filter cake waste and chitosan on avocado pre-nursery on PMK soil. Design used was Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of two factors. The first factor is dose of sugarcane filter cake waste with four treatment levels is 0, 100, 150, and 200 g/polybag. The second factor is concentration of chitosan with four treatment levels is 0, 5, 10 and 15 ml/l. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, widest leaf area, stem base circumference, root length, and root volume. Observation data were tested statistically and tested at the 5% level by the Advanced Honestly Significant Difference Test (HSD). Results showed that sugarcane filter cake waste and chitosan had significant effects on all observation parameters
