Abstract

This research is motivated by the low religiosity of Muslim students. The focus of this research is how the efforts of Islamic religious education teachers in increasing the religiosity of Muslim students (a case study of SMAN 1 Bandar Petalangan, Pelalawan Regency). This study aims to find out how the strategy of Islamic religious education teachers is in increasing the religiosity of Muslim students because there are still problems regarding low religiosity where some students do not understand and practice Islamic values. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were Islamic Religious Education Teachers at SMAN 1 Bandar Petalangan, Kab. Pelalawan. While the object of this research is the efforts of Islamic religious education teachers to increase the religiosity of Muslim students. After researching directly at the research location, the researchers concluded that: Islamic Religious Education Teachers in increasing the religiosity of Muslim students at SMAN 1 Bandar Petalangan, Kab. Pelalawan is classified as good, the teacher has made every effort to increase the religiosity of Muslim students by providing belief and understanding of Allah SWT, angels, and the Prophet. Providing correct Islamic religious doctrine, commemorating Islamic holidays, muhadaroh, midday prayers in congregation, the teacher providing learning and examples of good morals, getting used to Islamic culture, respecting fellow school members, reading the Koran and studying it.
