Abstract

In Article 18 of Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages it is related that Village authority includes authority in the field of administering village administration, implementing village development, developing village communities, and empowering village communities based on community initiatives, origin rights, village customary funds. The purpose of this study was to see the results and achievements of community empowerment in Labuhan Bilik Village, Teluk Meranti District, Pelalawan Regency and to find obstacles in implementing the Village Government Functions in Community Empowerment in Labuhan Bilik Village, Teluk Meranti District, Pelalawan Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method. The results of the evaluation of the tasks of the Village Community Empowerment Institution in Labuhan Bilik Village, Teluk Meranti District, Pelalawan Regency did not work effectively. The results of the study showed that the obstacles encountered in evaluating the Tasks of Village Community Empowerment Institutions in Labuhan Bilik Village, Teluk Meranti District, Pelalawan Regency included: There were still people who did not understand what the duties and functions of the LPMD institution in the village were. There is still a lack of knowledge of the duties and functions of the LPMD as an institution in the village, both from its members and chairman. Lack of outreach by village government to LPMD through programs and what tasks they have to carry out. However, the authors suggest that the village head always hold large meetings for every institution in the village so that good cooperation is established for the village administration.
