Abstract

Strategic planning is very important when building tourist attractions, in accordance with the vision and mission of the Bengkalis Regency Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports Office. The development of tourist attractions can encourage an increase in PAD (Regional Original Income) which can support regional development, open up business opportunities and provide many benefits for local governments and residents living in the surrounding areas. In this case, there are several problems that have been written about by researchers regarding the Pantai Indah Selat Baru tourist attraction, such as lack of management of parking around the tourist attraction, lack of management regarding traders or the location of micro, small and medium enterprises, and also related to lack of management. zoo around the location of the beautiful new strait beach tourist attraction. In this case, several proofs have been carried out in the form of qualitative research methods by means of interviews. The research results are based on Geoff Moelgan's theoretical concept which suggests several elements such as goals, environment, direction, action and learning evaluation. The first is that the Bengkalis Regency Tourism Office aims to increase regional income through the tourism sector which is supported by the development of tourist destinations, the second is in an effort to protect the environment of tourist destinations, namely by providing facilities and infrastructure that support the tourist attraction environment, the third is to provide direction regarding the use of facilities and infrastructure. well and not damage the public facilities at the Indah Selat Baru beach tourist attraction so that they can be used for a long period of time, then fourthly by taking action by repairing and building facilities that can be used by visitors, and finally learning or evaluating must be carried out as a support to continue to increase the satisfaction of visitors or visiting tourists.
