Abstract

Social reintegration is an effort made by the Correctional Institution (LAPAS) to return prisoners in the midst of society through evaluation. Correctional Institution Class II A in Pekanbaru has implemented several social reintegration programs including Parole (PB), Leave Before being Released (CMB), Conditional Leave (CB) and Assimilation. The provision of social reintegration is intended to achieve the goal of correctional accordance with what is stated in Law No. 12 of 1995 concerning Corrections. This research was conducted to find out how the implementation of the social integration program in Correctional Institution Class II A Pekanbaru and what were the obstacles in its implementation.
