Abstract

Contribution of the explosive power of the arm muscles and flexibility of the waist to the volleyball smash ability of the Rawone Volleyball Club, Pasir Emas village team. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of arm muscle explosive power and waist flexibility to the volleyball smash ability of the Rawone Volleyball Club team in Pasir Emas village. This type of research is correlational. The population in this study were all 14 players of the Rawone Volleyball Club team in the village of Pasir Emas. The sample technique in this research is total sampling. The research instrument was a medicine ball throwing test, a flexibility test and a volleyball smash test. The results of this study are 1) There is a contribution of the explosive power of the arm muscles to the volleyball smash ability of the Rawone Volleyball Club Desa Pasir Emas team by 45.1%. 2) There is a contribution of waist flexibility to the volleyball smash ability of the Rawone Volleyball Club Desa Pasir Emas team by 34.3%. 3) There is a contribution of the explosive power of the arm muscles and flexibility of the waist together on the volleyball smash ability of the Rawone Volleyball Club Desa Pasir Emas team by 55.4%.
