Abstract

The implementation of the mechanism for selecting members of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia, which seems to have no problems in practice, turns out to have problems that in fact are still not running according to the applicable regulations. The main problem in this study is how the mechanism for selecting members of the Audit Board of Indonesia in the Indonesian constitutional system and how the mechanism for selecting members of the Audit Board of Indonesia in the Indonesian constitutional system will be better in the future. The research method used is normative legal research by collecting data such as books, laws and regulations and so on. The results of this study are that the mechanism for selecting members of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia is still not in accordance with the precise regulations. In 2021, there are candidates who do not comply with the requirements of Article 13 (j) of Law Number 15 of 2006, which are still passed by the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia. The good thing that can be done for a better election of members of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia is to start considering incorporating the Selection Committee into the mechanism for selecting members of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia in the future so that it is more independent and there is no political shadow in it.
