Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in income of coconut farmers from processing shell charcoal from the main job of income from coconut production or sales in the Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This research was conducted in the Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The data used in this study are primary data. The population used was all coconut farmers as many as 110 people with a sample taken as much as 25% of the 3 villages in which this research was carried out which processed coconut shell charcoal, namely 28 coconut farmers in Kempas District. The data collection techniques used were open questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data analysis method used is to calculate gross income to net income and the increase in income in charcoal processing from the main job of income in coconut plantations in Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency.
