Abstract

At this time the development and progress of the flow of economic globalization is growing very rapidly, especially four-wheeled vehicles which are things that are really needed at this time but not everyone can have them. the agreement system used in car rental is leasing and using a written agreement system that is used as a rule. In practice, the car rental agreement does not go smoothly. a default is made by the lessee in the case of a car rental agreement. In this case the tenant who defaults is required to be held responsible because it is an obligation for the tenant who defaults. The main problem in this study is how to resolve defaults on renting fourwheeled vehicles between tenants and CV.Grand Parna rent car in Pekanbaru City and what are the obstacles faced by CV.Grand Parna Rent Car in resolving default problems. The type of research used is sociological empirical research in which the type of legal research is carried out by analyzing and studying a problem directly, either by conducting interviews or by making observations. Research results Settlement of default in the lease agreement to rent a four-wheeled vehicle between the tenant and CV. Grand Parna Rent Car in the city of Pekanbaru, the company got a default, the tenant was negligent in returning the vehicle, the tenant paid not according to the agreement and the four-wheeled vehicle was damaged. The settlement of this default was carried out in two stages, namely contacting the tenant and negotiating, but the settlement did not go smoothly and there were obstacles. Obstacles that occur in completing the settlement of defaults on leasing a four-wheeled vehicle between the tenant and CV. Grand Parna Rent Car, namely the obstacles faced by tenants who are not in good faith, paying in installments, tenants who cannot be contacted make the rental company find it difficult to make efforts to resolve defaults caused by tenants, resulting in losses and hindering car rental companies from making profits, Meanwhile obstacles encountered by tenants because they do not fully understand the agreement and their rights.
