Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the intensity of accessing the Twitter account @kdrama_menfess and the fulfillment of followers' information needs and also to find out how close and how high the relationship is between the two variables. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach method. This study uses the theory of Uses and Gratification which means the use of media and satisfaction in using the media itself. The sample in this study is 100 respondents who are followers of the @kdrama_menfess account using the probability sampling technique. The results show that the X variable, namely the intensity of accessing the Twitter account @kdrama_menfess, has the highest score on the frequency indicator with a total score of 1,164, and on the Y variable, fulfillment of the information needs of followers has the highest score on the exhaustive need approach indicator with a total score of 1.172. The final results of this study indicate that there is a high relationship between the intensity of accessing the Twitter account @kdrama_menfess and meeting the information needs of followers, which is equal to .729 using a correlation test.
