Abstract

The research was conducted at Mandala field which belong to the area of Kampar and Rokan Hulu Regency. This study aims to determine facies and depositional environment on sand "A" interval in the Mandala field based core and wireline logs data. There are 10 types of lithofacies is glauconite fine sandstones, bioturbation massive fine-medium sandstone, carbonate fine-medium sandstone, noncarbonate fine-medium sandstone, noncarbonate wavy laminated fine-medium sandstone, noncarbonate massive medium-coarse sandstone, carbonate fine sandstone, bioturbation fine-medium sandstone, carbonate very fine-fine sandstone and carbonate flaser very fine-fine sandstone. Facies association consists of five types of shallow marine, transgressive lag, tidal channel, distributary channels and distributary mouth bar. The beginning of the sedimentation process is tide dominated delta and shallow marine environment. Stratigraphic sequence bounded by sequence boundary in the lower and transgressive surface in the upper. System tract is a lowstand system tract.
