Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine the effect of interaction and main treatment of types and doses of organic fertilizer on the growth and production of tomato plants on PMK soil. The research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The research was carried out for 5 months starting from January 2022 to May 2022 using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, the first factor was the type of organic fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely water hyacinth green manure, bokashi leaf ketapang, corn litter compost. , and goat manure and the second factor was the dose of organic fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely 250, 500, 750 and 1000 g per polybag, each treatment consisted of 3 replications so that 48 experimental units were obtained. In the experimental unit there were 4 plants and 2 plants were used as observation samples taken randomly so that 192 plants were obtained. The parameters observed were: plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of productive branches, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, weight of fruit per fruit, and number of fruit residues. The research data were analyzed statistically and continued with the 5% BNJ test. The results showed that the interaction of type and dose of organic fertilizer affected the parameters of flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, weight of planted fruit, and number of leftover fruit with the best treatment being corn litter compost type and dose of 1000 g/polybag. The type of organic fertilizer affected all parameters observed, where the best treatment was on corn litter compost while the dose of organic fertilizer affected all parameters with the best treatment being 1000 g/polybag.
