Abstract

The research found several problems where the low tourist visits caused a lack of community motivation to support the development of tourism businesses. Except for every Eid al-Fitr and school holidays, visitors are very crowded, Lack of management and maintenance is carried out for the results of the development in terms of existing tourist facilities on Solop Beach and the lack of rental transportation and safety equipment on the way to the Solop Beach tourist attraction. The key informants and informants of this research are the Head of Service, Secretary of the Service, Head of Tourism, Village Head and Community 5 people. Then the type of research used in this study is a qualitative research method in which qualitative researchers try to build meaning about a phenomenon based on the views of the participants and use observations, interviews and documentation as data collection tools. Types of data collection consists of primary data, secondary data. The Development of Solop Beach Tourism Objects by the Youth and Sports Tourism Office in Mandah, Indragiri Hilir Regency, in the results of interviews and observations it was concluded that it was not good because there were still several obstacles in the development of Solop Beach. Suggestions for the development of this solop beach is to increase cooperation with related parties for infrastructure improvement and development, then in the future the community is expected to always support the government in the development of the Solop beach, and the government is expected to be able to cooperate with other parties.
