Abstract
Extracurricular guidance in dance is a series of activities in which there are stages carried out by students and coaches so that extracurricular activities in dance in schools can be maintained and well maintained. This study aims to determine the Guidance of Dance Extracurricular (Persembahan) in State Middle School 25 Pekanbaru Riau Province Academic Year 2018/2019. The research method used in this study is descriptive analysis method using qualitative data, because in this study involves directly the object under study. So that researchers have to interact more with the coaches of dance extracurricular activities and students with a total of 23 people involved in dance extracurricular activities in State Junior High School 25 Pekanbaru, Riau Province, Academic Year 2018/2019 which was made the subject of research. The research location is located on Jalan Kartama, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City. The research findings of the holding of extracurricular dance in Pekanbaru State Junior High School are to channel, develop and explore the talents of students in the field of dance and also as an additional time in art and culture subjects. As stated by Suwandono in the book "Review of Dance from Various Aspects" that the stages of dance art development include Maintenance, Excavation, Processing and Direction, Rescue, Recording and quality improvement. The material taught in extracurricular activities at Pekanbaru State Junior High School 25 Academic Year 2018/2019 is Persembahan dance. Persenbahan dance are traditional dances which are performed to welcome guests who come as a form of respect.
