Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine Student Learning Outcomes in the eye Cultural Arts lessons (Kuala Deli Dance) Through the STAD Type Cooperative Model. Therefore the problem of researchers is the learning method used less effective and efficient, students seemed less enthusiastic about learning art and culture, lack of confidence to express opinions and do motion, and low student learning outcomes with an average of 48% of KKM 75. Research problem formulation how to increase student learning outcomes in learning arts and culture (dance) through a type of cooperative learning model STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) in class VII.3 Tembilahan Middle School 3 Hulu T.A 2018/2019. This research is classroom action research (CAR), carried out with four main steps, namely planning, action, implementation or action, observation or observation, and reflection. The learning was carried out in two cycles, the first cycle was carried out 4 times meeting, the second cycle was held 3 times. Observations carried out by cultural arts teacher who observes student activities. The observation sheet will analyzed by analysis of KKM achievement. The results of this study show that students who complete the cognitive research phase of completeness testing individuals only 12 students, cycle I 21 students, cycle II 23 students. So the hypothesis is accepted, the hypothesis reads if the model cooperative type STAD applied in Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM) at class VII.3 of Tembilahan Hulu 3 Public High School, can improve the learning outcomes of art culture (dance) in the class above the established KKM standard, 75. thus it can be concluded that the value of students is in accordance with the KKM value school which is 75. The conclusion from the description above is that with using the STAD method can improve student learning outcomes Upper Tembilahan Middle School 3.
