Abstract
The aim of this research was to know the students’ perception of self-recording videos toward student speaking for general communication in the second semester of the English Language Education of UIR. This technique has been implemented in the teaching and learning process as a further step from the material topic to improve students' speaking skills. This research was used qualitative research and used a questionnaire as instrument. The questionnaire is based on indicators adapted and modified from Davis (1989) and Fenanda et al. (2021) such as Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, and Students’ Satisfaction. This research used the Likert scale as the rating scale of the questionnaire. The participants of this research were 66 students in the second semester of the English Language Department of UIR. The results of the questionnaire can be seen as students who use technology so that their system will improve their performance at 78,7%, and students believe that using the system will improve performance76,9%, while students satisfaction with the technology that uses 77.52%. The conclusion of this research showed that the majority of the students had good and positive perceptions of the use of self-recording videos in speaking.
