Abstract

The Role Opinion Leaders in Stimulating Young Entrepreneurs in Pekanbaru City Aditya Ramadhan 189110134 The world of entrepreneurship has become familiar to many people. There is so much attention paid to young entrepreneurial movements, both from the government and the private sector. All of them help each other hand in hand in the process of developing young entrepreneurs, so that there are many opinion leaders who become role models or mentors in entrepreneurship. These opinion leaders then help a lot in the process of developing young entrepreneurs, through many activities. Opinion leaders play an active role in these processes. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. There were three informants in this study who came from three different backgrounds. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis using the theory of Bonito et al. Socio Ego Centric and Group Centric which discusses a group that has common interests, the communication process formed in it based on interests, and the role of opinion leaders who collaborate with each other. In the process of stimulating young entrepreneurs in the city of Pekeanbaru, there is a theory that also supports this research. That is the two-step communication theory by Lazarsfeld, where opinion leaders have the ability or role to translate information from the mass media into more effective information.
