Abstract

The Koneng Beach tourist area is a leading tourist attraction according to the 2019-2039 Regional Spatial Plan which is located in Medang Kampai District, Dumai City. Koneng Beach is a tourist attraction with the highest number of tourist visits reaching 167,745 tourists to the 2021, the high enthusiasm of tourists to Koneng Beach does not escape the facilities offered and visual attractions such as swimming, enjoying the twilight atmosphere and getting around by boat. As a tourism area, Koneng Beach tourism facilities are inadequate and inadequate such as changing rooms and/or toilets, guardrails and parking lots due to a lack of management from the management. So this study aims to look at the study of the level of needs for Koneng Beach tourism facilities. This study uses a deductive approach. In identifying the existing conditions using descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods to identify the study of tourism facility needs according to tourists with the results of a questionnaire using the Likert scale method. After identifying the level of need for tourism facilities according to tourists. The results of this study indicate that there are 8 tourism facilities needed by tourists, namely changing rooms and/or toilets, gazebos, guardrails, plazas/culinary hawker centers, places of worship, gates, parking lots and signposts for directions. There are 6 tourism facilities that are not needed by tourists, namely viewing decks, art/performance stages, souvenir kiosks, tourist information centers/TIC (Tourism Information Center), pergolas and garden lights. The existing facilities at Koneng Beach have 6 facilities, namely changing rooms and/or toilets, gazebos, guardrails, plazas/culinary hawker centers, places of worship and parking lots. According to the Regulation of the Minister of Tourism concerning Operational Instructions for the Management of Special Physical Allocation Funds for the Tourism Sector Number 3 of 2018, there are 14 facilities, namely a tourist information center/TIC (Tourism Information Center), changing rooms and/or toilets, pergolas, gazebos, garden lights, guardrails. , arts/performance stage, souvenir kiosk, plaza/culinary hawker center, places of worship, viewing tower, identity gate, pedestrian paths/walks/walks within the area, boardwalks and parking lots and directional signs.
