Abstract

Cultural reserve of the Jami' mosque 'Air Tiris is one of the historical cultural reserves which is still used for religious activities, praying five times in congregation. Because of this, the Tanjung Berulak village community is very proactive in their efforts to help light and build Islamic mosque with awareness and self-help they have. All development activities are carried out by the community itself both in terms of financing andinplementation by using their own a abilities in accordance with the limits of their capabilities without having to interfere with assistance from outside parties. Thus the purpose of the research to be achieved is to find out the Role of the Riau Provincial Cultural Service in the Protection of Cultural Heritage in the form of the Jami’ Air Tiris Mosque in Kampar Regency. This type of research is a qualitative method with a descriptive nature of the research location in the Riau Provincial Cultural Office and the Jami Mosque 'Tiris Water. Types of data sources used primary data and secondary data, while data collection through interviews, observation, research documentation. After the data is obtained then it is grouped according to qualifications and qualifications, then analysis in the form of a clear and concise description. The Role of Riau Province Cultural Service in the Protection of Jami Mosque 'Water Tiris Cultural Heritage in Kampar Regency in three indicators that are used, namely the legal basis regulation used by regional regulation number 15 of 2013, Personification namely protection of asfek non-physical form of the registration and establishment of cultural heritage is protected by the Cultural Office of Riau Province, and Social Structure namely the close relationship between the Riau Provincial Cultural Office and the Tanjung Berulak community. As well as the obstacles that have to be had, namely submitting non-routine propososal, limited funds, and low public understanding.
