Abstract

The significance of the title of this research is to enrich the study of governmental science, especially in the field of services, and it is hoped that through the title of this research it can be information to agencies that researchers are careful to make better quality service changes. This study aims to determine the quality of service in the Kandis Sub-District Sector Police in dealing with public complaints and what factors are the obstacles. The service quality assessment indicators used include timeliness of service, courtesy and friendliness, ease of obtaining service, and comfort in obtaining services. This type of research located in Kandis District Police Sector is descriptive using Quantitative + Qualitative (mixed) methods, which are to exploit and clarify social phenomena or realities, by describing a number of variables relating to the unit problem being examined without questioning the relationship between variables there is. There are two population groups and the sample in this study is 11 police personnel and 11 people, so the sample size determined by the two groups is 22 people. The community in this case are those who have carried out complaints services in the Kandis District Police Sektok. The methods and techniques used in determining individual samples are census methods for employee populations and the Census Method for the population of the population. The types and data collection techniques used consist of primary data collected by using questionnaire and interview techniques as well as supporting data collected by means of documentation and observation. While the data analysis technique used is using five phases in data collection. Based on this analysis technique the researcher judges and concludes that knowing the quality that knows the quality of service in the Kandis Sub-District Sector Police in handling public complaints is at a sufficiently quality interval, and the constraints are human resource capacity, limited facilities and infrastructure, lack of personnel. Recommendations that need to be considered are particularly pleasing to the quality of operational resources more equipped with information boards, and the addition of Police personnel to the Kandis Sub-District Sector Police unit, all of which are useful for increasing public trust during the complaints service process
