Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning motivation on student achievement on economic subjects in Pekanbaru State High School 13. This type of research is quantitative descriptive, data collection through questionnaires, and documentation. Normality test data analysis technique, simple linear regression test and coefficient of determination. The results of the simple linear regression test are seen from significant (sig) saying that: significant value (sig) which is 0,000 smaller (<) than probability 0.05 means that there is an effect of learning motivation on student achievement in Pekanbaru State High School 13. Whereas seen from the value of simple linear regression titung says that: the value of tcount is 8.054 is greater than t table is 1.667 then there is the effect of learning motivation on student achievement in the SMA Negeri 13 Pekanbaru. From the results of the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.348 (value of 0.348 is the squaring of the correlation coefficient or R which is 0.590 x 0.590 = 0.348. The magnitude of the determination number (R Square) 0.348 is equal to 34.8%. towards student achievement by 34.8%.
