Abstract

The background of this research is from the results of observations which indicate problems regarding the basic technique of playing badminton, especially long service skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of eye-hand coordination and eye-hand coordination to long service ability in badminton. This type of research is multiple correlation research. The population in this study were PB Angkasa Taluk Kuantan Junior Players, totaling 13 players. The sampling technique used total sampling, the researchers made a sample of 13 players. The research instrument used a tennis ball throw and catch test, wrist flexibility test and badminton long service test. The conclusions of this study are: 1) There is a contribution of eye-hand coordination to the long service results at the Angkasa Taluk Kuantan PB Club of 43.7%. 2) There is no contribution of wrist flexibility to long service results at Club PB Angkasa Taluk Kuantan, the percentage is only 1.26%. 3) There is a contribution of hand eye coordination and wrist flexibility to the long service results at PB Angkasa Taluk Kuantan Club of 43.7%.
