Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability of the application of accounting in Textile Shop Business in Pekanbaru with the basic concepts of accounting. This research was conducted at the Textile Shop in Pekanbaru. This study uses data types namely primary and secondary data. To obtain the data and information needed in the preparation of the thesis, data collection techniques are carried out by interviews and questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it is known that most textile shops in Pekanbaru have not fully implemented the concept of business unity where employers still combine company finance with personal finance. The basis of recording used by textile entrepreneurs in Pekanbaru is the basis of cash. single entry) where recording is carried out only in diaries without journaling, textile entrepreneurs have not fully carried out the matching concept, which can be seen from the calculated expenses in profit and loss, that not all respondents include expenses that should be calculated in profit or loss, Textile entrepreneurs as a whole have applied the concept of business continuity. It can be seen from the business that they are running continuously and get profit, textile entrepreneurs have applied the concept of time period, in calculating the profit and loss of textile businesses having different periods of time, the application of accounting conducted by textile entrepreneurs in Pekanbaru is not in accordance with the Basic Concept of Accounting .
