Abstract
Contents of Higher Order ?Thinking ?Skills in the Smart Cergas Textbook in Indonesian ?Language and ?Literature SMA/SMK Class X. Education in the 21st century provides a big challenge for students to have critical and creative thinking skills. One of the skills needed is higher order thinking skills or Higher Order Thinking Skills. This study aims to identify and explain the content of Higher Order Thinking Skills in the Indonesian Language and Literature Smart Textbook for SMA/SMK class X. The research method used is a descriptive method of content analysis with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this research are documentation, record, write, conclude. Data analysis techniques identify, classify, analyze, interpret, conclude. The results showed that HOTS content exercises were found to be 97% with the HOTS category in the analyzing section (C4) mostly found in exposition texts. In the evaluating section (C5) there are many anecdotal texts. In the creating section (C6) many are found in the text of the overview. Whereas LOTS was found to be 3% in the cognitive aspect of understanding (C2) found in the text of the observation report. Based on these results, it can be explained that the HOTS content in the Indonesian Language and Literature Smart Smart Textbook for Class X High Schools/Vocational High Schools published by the Ministry of Education and Culture has met the criteria for training content in the HOTS category.
