Abstract

The ZE oil field is classified as heavy oil and there are several things that cause a decrease in production flow, one of which is caused by the speed in the production flowline. The main problem that occurs in the ZE oil field is Congeal Oil, which is a problem that occurs in the field where there is a change in the form of crude oil from liquid to gel, this problem is caused by an increase in viscosity caused by a decrease in the temperature of the crude oil. Congeal Oil occurs below the surface as well as well tubing. The hot water injection method is an alternative method to overcome congeal oil, by injecting hot air into the annulus casing on the wellhead, it can help raise the temperature in the flowline production line so that it is able to dilute the fluid that is experiencing congeal oil. The main parameters in the success of the hot air injection method are the injection volume, pressure and temperature. In this final project, the researchers conducted a study on the occurrence of congeal oil in wells X, Y and Z and then analyzed the success of hot air injection in the handling effort. To determine the success of hot air injection and the effect of hot air injection volume, the parameters used are evaluations based on well productivity and dyno cards. The production rate after hot water injection of 180 bbl has increased and is able to improve the quality of the well, the production of well X can be said to be successful because there is an increase in production from 3 BOPD to 14.5 BOPD, well Y from 3.5 BOPD to 11.3 BOPD, and well Z from 2.2 BOPD to 13 BOPD. Based on the dyno card data for well X for pump fillage of 7.10%, well Y for pump fillage of 17.39%, and for well Z for pump fillage of 18.97%.
